4 In conjunction with the launch, CSA has also rolled out a #BetterCyberSafeSG School Dance Challenge. All students need to do is to submit a short video of themselves dancing along to the song and putting a creative spin to the signature dance moves featured in the music video. They can take part in the individual category or round up their friends and participate under the group category. Prizes will be awarded for the top three entries for each category. For more information on the #BetterCyberSafeSG School Dance Challenge, please visit www.csa.gov.sg/bettercybersafe.
About SG Cyber Safe Students Programme
5 Under CSA’s SG Cyber Safe Students programme, CSA collaborates with partners such as the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore Police Force (SPF) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), to develop initiatives and resources to educate students on the dangers of the cyber world and how they can stay safe online.
6 Existing initiatives include the Go Safe Online Pop-up, comprising a motion-controlled game and information panels, for students to learn about cybersecurity in a fun and interactive way. The Pop-ups have travelled to close to 50 schools, libraries and community spaces since its launch in June 2021. The Go Safe Online Drama Skit, where students go on a journey with cybersecurity guru Crypto as he helps students navigate safely through cyberspace, has also been a hit with students. Two different skits are available for primary and secondary school students in live-action or hybrid formats. The skits have been staged at more than 110 schools since August 2021. Over the next few weeks, CSA will be rolling out microsite games and mobile booths to schools. For details on the Programme, please refer to www.csa.gov.sg/programmes/sg-cyber-safe-students.
1 Jaga is a cyber and data security mascot created by GovTech in 2017 to raise awareness and educate the public sector about cybersecurity. Its name was inspired by the Malay word “jaga”, which means to guard.
